How scary is the conjuring?

I have a few questions. I want to see the conjuring sooo bad! First here's some background info:
-im a girl
-im 14
-scary movies don't scary me easily
-im a horror film fanatic
So here are my questions:
-on a rate from 1-10(10 being the highest) how scary is The Conjuring?
-do you think I would get scared? (I heard grown men got scared)
-is it one of those movies that you think about after you watch it? (Especially at night?)
-what is the plot of the story?
-did you jump a lot in your seat?
-did you scream at all?
-did anyone else scream?
-did anyone leave?
Please answer as many questions as possible in good detail. Additional information would be nice. :) sorry for all the questions but i'm just soo freaking excited!!!!
Thank you!xx

In my opinion, "The Conjuring" wasn't scary at all; just VERY creepy! I didn't have nightmares or anything, but the music and camera angles alone are enough to give you chills. The acting was great which is rare for a horror film.

1) Again, I didn't think it was scary, but on a creepiness scale of 1-10, I'd give it an 8

2) Whether you get scared or not is completely subjective. Different things frighten different people, so there's no way anybody could tell you whether or not you would get scared. You have to see it and determine for yourself.

3) For me, I didn't have to think about anything after I saw it. It was good entertainment. I'm not sure how spiritual/religious you are, but if you do believe in the possibility of ghosts, spirits, demons, the supernatural, etc., then it may cause you to think about it once you finish watching it. Since you're young, I'm sure it'll cause you to think about it more than an adult.

4) The plot of the story is about a couple (Ed and Lorraine Warren) being asked by a woman to investigate her family's home after strange things start happening shortly after they move in. The Warren's conduct their investigation and discover that there are several destructive demonic entities in the house, and suggest an immediate exorcism.

5) I didn't jump in my seat, but I did get goosebumps a lot and had to close my eyes a few times ;)

6) I didn't scream at all

7) No one in the theater screamed when I went to see it, and the theater was quite full. A lot of people were jumping in their seats though!

8) People were leaving, but just to get concessions because they kept coming back with food

In my opinion, it's probably the best horror film of the 21st century (it has an 85% out of 100 rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which is extremely rare for any genre of movie; not just horror). This movie doesn't have gore, violence, sex, or foul language, and I think that's what helps make it even better!

It's 4 am and I just finished watching this movie. The acting is just brilliant. However, I have seen many horror movies and now at the age of 17, I dont get scared easily. I did expect the movie to have so much more horror, like watching the trailer I really thought I should check it out because the trailer made it look like pure horror. So, I lied down on my bed, in total darkness a couple hours back, put my lappy in front of my face and put on high volume through my earphones. Like most people say, this movie is one of the most scariest, I disagree very much. It has some scary moments but its, excuse my use of this word, boring. But, I do recommend you watch Insidious 1 (not 2, thats flat) since that was one movie, I was actually tensed up after I watched in a similar way I watched The Conjuring. Sorry if its too long

Ok, now let me tell you, although I haven't watched it actually, I have watched Cabin in the Woods. This movie was honestly not that scary, and for you to be saying that you "Jumped", I don't recommend even bothering to watch "the conjuring" based off the trailers alone. When I was very very young, around 9 years old, I started watching "Halloween", "Saw", "Ring", etc with my parents at 12 at night on a saturday in a huge house. After the movie I would have to walk all the way up stairs to my room in the dark. I was left with images that I still have. I would myself watch "The Conjuring" because now scary movies aren't exactly very scary for me( I too jump but I have gotten accustomed to the message "this can literally not affect you in any single way and you are just complicating your life by thinking about it".) I still have, very rarely, flashbacks from movies that I have watched at night and it scares me half to death. It's up to you at the end if you think that you should PAY to get yourself scared, possibly have lifetime flashbacks, and close your eyes for half the movie.

well if you are not easily scared by horror fillms and you are a horror film fanatic, its not that scary i watched the whole movie in theatre , i just had to jump just once when they saw that demonic girl instantly ,other than that its not a scary film

scare level:5 ,you probably would,no u wont be dreaming about it lol its about this family whose mom gets possessed, it is pretty jumpy but not too bad, i did not scream and only a few people did and it wasnt even neccessary lol and no one left til it was over..ull be fiiinnee its overall a good movie but its not as scary as the world makes it seems..have fun !!!
