I went there in late May till early June last year and I did enjoy myself there. Weather was sunny but not too hot. Was around 20- 23 degrees and the daylight hours are long - 14 hours or so.
Most of the attractions in London are indoors so it really depends on whether you would mind going out in the cold.
I would recommend coming in Autumn, all the children are back at school and its likely to still be quite warm
